Match on Action
Other filming techniques we revised today was match on action and the importance of having it in our opening sequence. Continuity in our construction is crucial to have a successful opening sequence and also for the audience to understand the plot of the story. Match on action consists of having a range of different shots to show one action. My teacher showed the following video as an example of Match on action.
180 degree rule
As revision my teacher went over some of the different film techniques involved in media. One of them is the 180 degree rule which can be used for example when filming two people talking. 180 degree rule is very important because if it is not followed the audience will end up confused about where each character is placed in the scene. To make it clearer my teacher showed us the following video.
